Something To Do is designed with your privacy in mind. We believe your data belongs to you, and we're committed to keeping it that way.
Data We Collect
We don't collect any of your personal information.
All places, notes, and data you create in Something To Do are stored locally on your device. We have no access to this information.
Local Storage
All your places and data are stored in a local JSON file on your iPhone
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or backup to iCloud
You have complete control over your data at all times
Third-Party Services
While we don't collect any data, this app uses services from Apple that may collect information according to their own privacy policies:
Apple Maps
Used for displaying maps and geocoding locations. Apple may collect location data and usage information.
iCloud
Optional backup service. If enabled, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account.
Location Services
Used to show your current location on the map and for optional geofencing notifications when near saved places. Location access is optional and can be disabled in Settings.
Spotlight Search
Your saved places are indexed in iOS Spotlight for system-wide search. All place data remains on your device.
Siri & App Intents
Optional voice commands for adding places and getting recommendations. All processing happens on your device.
Local AI Processing
The app includes AI-powered chat features for place recommendations.
All AI processing happens entirely on your device using local language models
No data is sent to external AI services or cloud providers
Your conversations and place data never leave your device
Your Data, Your Control
Export: Download all your data as a JSON file at any time
Delete: Clear all your data from the app whenever you want
Backup: Optionally backup to your personal iCloud account
No Tracking: We don't use analytics, tracking, or advertising :D
Permissions
The app may request the following permissions:
Location
To show your current location on the map and enable geofencing notifications (optional)
iCloud
To backup and sync your data (optional)
Photo Library
To save journey recap images and data visualizations (add-only access, optional)
Siri
To enable voice commands for adding places and getting recommendations (optional)
Notifications
To send you place recommendations and reminders (optional)
All permissions are optional and can be managed in your iPhone Settings.
Changes to This Policy
If we make any changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app.
